new
Stroke and Brain Injury Support
Group meets on the second
Wednesday of each month
from 2 to 4 p.m. in Classroom 2.
The group offers peer support
for survivors of stroke or brain
injury and their families and
friends.
This group is
free
and provides
survivors and caregivers with
a forum for sharing their suc-
cesses and needs related to
stroke or brain injury. It is also
a valuable source for sharing
information and resources.

To reduce your risk:
1.
Know your blood pressure.
2.
Find out whether you have atrial fibrillation.
3.
If you smoke, stop.
4.
Find out if you have high cholesterol.
5.
If you have diabetes, follow recommenda-
tions to control it.
6.
Include exercise in your daily routine.
7.
Enjoy a lower-sodium (salt), lower-fat diet.
