New laser system treats
enlarged prostate
METHODIST HOSPITAL
has a new AMS GreenLight XPS laser
system for treating enlarged prostate. As men age, the prostate
may become enlarged, which can make urination difficult. The
XPS laser system is indicated for treatment of enlarged prostate,
or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The XPS laser procedure
is a new and effective non-medication treatment for BPH. Our
team of caring physicians and nurses has vast experience in the
treatment of BPH with the XPS laser system.
WHAT’S NEW IN
MEDICAL TREATMENT
Hana table makes
hip replacement easier
OUR
surgeons are now able to replace the
hip with a single incision, thanks to a new
Hana table at Methodist Hospital. Using an
approach from the front, the procedure avoids
detaching muscle from the pelvis or femur,
which greatly decreases recuperation time and
gets patients back to their old lifestyles faster.
Our highly trained orthopedic physicians and
nurses have many years of experience and
are always at the forefront of new safe and
effective technologies.
